Dear Blog: Graduation Party, Etc.
So, let's see... last week was nuts. I finally got around to finishing my big 1750 word paper, and I was going to try to finish up my physics tests too, but that got interrupted. I spent most of Friday and Saturday helping my dad build our nifty new deck. It'll be handy to have around, when it's finished. Still have to put up some railing, though. But that was absolutely exhausting.
So, then was my graduation party, which was fun, though after the first few minutes of introducing people to other people I kinda just gave up. So, LAN party followed, which ended up being everything I had hoped it would. There somehow ended up being almost enough fast computers for everyone to use... and the 8 player red faction was hilarious. (not to mention the 9 player call of duty games.) It kinda fizzled out on Monday morning (I got 3 hours of sleep, by the way) and most of the people were gone by about 1:00. But Mike, Ben, and Seth stuck around until 5:30-ish, when I had to start getting ready for work.
And at work, I was a complete zombie. Ugh. I nearly fell over a few times, and every time I sat down my eyes just slammed shut and wouldn't open. But 9:00 eventually came, at which point I stopped being really tired. Then I stopped at Wal-mart to see if they had SimCity 4 (all Brian's fault!), but they didn't, so oh well... next time. Then we shot off a bunch of great fireworks that my uncle bought at some place like an hour away. They were exceptional. While the ones we got didn't go up a hundred feet and blow up and get huge, they were nice tree-height things that had plenty of flair. (The neighbors probably had a fit, though... we were doing this at 11:00 PM)
So, then I took turns playing Call of Duty 2 with my cousin, and we decided that we're both really tired, so now I'm going to bed. But whee, tomorrow morning I am obligated to get up and watch a bunch of 8-year-olds walk up the street chasing a fire truck, complete with headache-causing noises. Maybe I can get some sleep NEXT week.
